The story of Romeo and Juliet was staged in the ancient historical residence: the models with a black bow to reflect on themes such as feminicide

The love story between Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare revisited in a modern key by the Balletto delle Marche was the leitmotif of the bridal show by Emiliano Bengasi which was held on Sunday 19 November at Villa Bonaparte.

In an atmosphere of times gone by in a historic residence, one of the most fascinating and exciting love stories in literature was told in front of 300 guests, over 100 couples of future spouses, and the event was an opportunity to present the new bridal, groom and formal men's/women's collections by Emiliano Bengasi. The decidedly romantic plot, from which the new collection draws inspiration, tells of the impossible love between two young lovers due to rival families: Montagues and Capulets who have been at war with each other for generations.

After the welcome aperitif with swing musical entertainment by the group "Quei Bravi Ragazzi", the parade presented by Jessica Tidei began. The new collection stands out for its virtuous tailoring, the stylistic laboratory, moreover, for 55 years now has been transforming the most hidden desires of future brides into reality by creating original and unique creations with harmonious and elegant lines.

The new collection by Emiliano Bengasi was showcased in an evocative setting with clothes made strictly by hand using fine fabrics and lace with clean and sophisticated lines. The beautiful models wore a large black bow on their heads, a trendy accessory for 2024 but also with a deeper meaning better explained by Benghazi himself.

“We wanted to bring to the stage – explains designer Emiliano Bengasi – one of the most famous love stories in the world. A tragedy, in reality, but one that tells of one of the greatest loves in the history of literature. This year's collection ranges across various genres, from clean and bon ton dresses, to the more glamorous and sparkling ones, from sensual and sinuous mermaids, to "A" lines up to the most sumptuous, princely and magnificent garments. The bow is a must for 2024 accessories, it has ousted the headband and has become one of the coolest hair accessories. It is very bon ton, elegant and easy to wear. A classic of minimal chic that I wanted to propose in black both to recall the tragedy we were telling, and to make us reflect on issues that are so current today such as violence against women, feminicide which is often talked about today, just think of the events in the news of the last days. After all, a fashion show is a moment of lightheartedness in which fashion trends are presented, but it can also be a communication tool to raise people's awareness of important issues".

The following collaborated on the event: Top Catering, Ferracuti Shoes, Crevida Wedding Film, Tiziana Recchi Photography, Parruchieria Joicos, Letizia Savoretti Make up Artist, Francesco Mencucci Floral & Wedding Planner.
